2009/10 NBA Season

The Eddie Jordon era opened with guard Andre Miller signing with the Portland Trailblazers. In the draft, the team selected Jrue Holiday with the 17th overall pick in the draft. The team also signed Rodney Carney in late September.

Most agree that the reason for the dismal 27-55 record is the player’s inability to grasp Coach Jordon’s Princeton Offense which utilizes constant motion and back door cuts.

The team should have yet another high pick in the 2011 draft.

2008/09 NBA Season

The 76er’s were happy to at least break even this season with a 41-41 record. The team drafted Marreese Speights with the 16th overall pick in the draft, signed All Star PF Elton Brand in the offseason and Donyell Marshall in September. By December, the franchise released Head Coach Maurice Cheeks after a 9-14 start to the season.

The 76er’s made it into the playoffs but had the misfortune of matching up with the Orlando Magic who eliminated them in the first round 2 games to 4.
